Your first class
Everything practical, in the order you will need it. Read it once and you can walk in without wondering about any of it.
What to bring
Almost nothing, and we have the rest
Mats, blocks, straps, bolsters and blankets are all here. Bring water if you drink it during class, and a pair of socks if your feet get cold when you stop moving.
- Wear something you can bend forward in
- Nothing that needs adjusting when you are upside down
- Bare feet, socks are fine for the slow classes

Arriving
Come a few minutes early and just sit down
Shoes come off at the door. Somebody will say hello and show you where things are. Tell the teacher if anything hurts, is recent, or is none of their business but might matter. Then pick a spot on the floor. Nobody has an assigned place.
The things nobody explains
Small points of etiquette, said out loud so you do not have to guess.
Come in quietly and take the nearest space. Being ten minutes late is much better than not coming.
Yes. Roll up quietly during a resting shape rather than during the final stillness, and nobody will think anything of it.
No. Plenty of regulars come for a year without introducing themselves and that is a perfectly good way to use the room.
It happens in restorative more often than you would think. Nobody will make it a thing.
Anything else worrying you?
Ask before you come rather than after. It is a short message and it makes the first hour easier.
That is genuinely all of it
Pick a class, send us a line, and turn up in something comfortable.
